Boarding with a Purpose

Are you too busy to work with your dog at home, but still want his or her skills to remain razor-sharp? You might consider participating in Camano Island Kennels’ Continuing-Education Program for Alumni.

Like people in many professions, canines find occasional exposure to continuing-ed both stimulating and rewarding. It provides them an opportunity to review their storehouse of knowledge, and to polish their skills in a professional environment. If you wish, it can take place the next time you drop off your pet for boarding. If you decide to avail yourself of the opportunity, one of our fulltime professional trainers will work with your dog each day while you’re on vacation, to renew his enthusiasm for old skills and to restore the luster to his performance.

This program is available only to graduates of one of Camano Island Kennels’ adult canine courses, either group, private or in-kennel.

Once a canine skill is well learned, it requires relatively few and infrequent brush-up lessons to keep the skill sharp. We would be pleased to discuss with you whether such training would benefit you and your dog and, if so, the number of lessons that would be optimal for your particular animal.
