Mount Vernon Dog Boarding

If you live in the Mount Vernon or Burlington area, you have an award-winning dog-boarding, dog-training and dog-grooming kennel virtually in your back yard. We are Camano Island Kennels, and we’re located just down the road from Mount Vernon and Burlington on Camano Island a little bit west of Stanwood. For those who prefer not to make the drive we offer round trip shuttle service to many locations.

The people of Stanwood and Camano Island have honored us by voting Camano Island Kennels their “Best Kennel” in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. We appreciate the confidence that they have placed in us, and we work hard to continue to earn their ongoing esteem.

Our rates are quite affordable, and our facilities and services are of the highest quality. We offer full-service dog training, dog grooming and dog boarding on five beautiful acres in a rural, island setting which is accessible by bridge from the mainland. Most of our business is repeat business, and many of our canine guests – and their owners – become a part of the Camano Island Kennels family. At our dog boarding facility, our guests enjoy the highest-quality food, served twice daily, pleasing music, pleasant enclosures, air conditioning in the warmer months, radiant in-floor heating at cooler times of the year, trails to explore and a park-like area in which to exercise and play.

Our dog groomer can provide anything from a pedicure to a doggy makeover if you wish. Our full-time professional dog trainers are available to provide group lessons or private lessons for dogs and their handlers together, or to provide in-kennel dog training that can transform a doggy vacation into an educational seminar.

A significant number of our dog boarding and dog training clients come from the Mount Vernon and Burlington area. To get here, they take Interstate 5 south from Burlington and Mount Vernon to Exit 212, and then turn west toward Stanwood. Or, they leave the freeway a bit farther north, at Conway, and follow the Pioneer Highway south into Stanwood. From there, it’s only a short hop onto the island and over to Camano Island Kennels.
